Project Audits

People working in projects more and more recognize, that project audits are valuable means in order to evaluate the status of a running project. Increasingly, formal and legal conditions (like SOX compliance requirements) call for projects audits, too.

There are various modes of project audits:

Performance Audits: Here, the project progress and the performance of the project team build the focus of the audit.

Compliance Audits: Here, the conformity of the project process towards a standard methodology builds the focus of the audit.

Quality Audits: Here, the usage as well as the adherence to quality standards builds the focus of the audit.

Exit Audits: Here, it is to evaluate, whether and how a given (usually problematic) project should be terminated in an orderly manner prematurely.

Best Practice Audits: Here, the used methods and practices within a given project phase build the focus of the audit.

Audits can be conducted either planned on defined entry points of the project or unplanned at a discretionary entry point.
